Job Description

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Air & Ocean Import Agent to join their Miami operations team. In this role, you will manage the end-to-end import process for both air and ocean shipments, ensuring timely delivery, regulatory compliance, and excellent customer service. You will serve as the key liaison between clients, carriers, customs brokers, and internal teams to guarantee smooth and efficient cargo handling.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the full cycle of air and ocean import shipments from origin to final delivery.
• Prepare, review, and process import documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs regulations, TSA requirements, and other government agency guidelines.
• Communicate with overseas offices, freight forwarders, and carriers to track shipments and resolve delays.
• Provide proactive status updates to clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Arrange cargo releases, drayage, and final mile delivery services as needed.
• Verify and approve vendor invoices; assist with cost control and accurate billing to customers.
• Maintain accurate records in the company’s TMS/ERP systems.
• Support continuous process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality.
