Job Summary

The incumbent will provide support for the Investigators and senior biostatisticians at the Georgia Cancer Center (GCC), Collaborate with the study team members when implementing data management related activities for protocols, with a focus on the more complex indication and therapy related elements of the study and work on data analysis using SAS and/or R software. As such, you will review all necessary data flows, the Data Management Plans and perform continuous complex data review activities on the studies, generate data summaries and analyses. He/she will work independently, have no direct reports and work will be reviewed with the biostatistics core director or immediate manager as needed during major deliverables.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Data management that includes database establishment, data structure to fit data quality standards.

Writing SAS and R code to generate data analysis.

Meeting with investigators and explain data and analysis summaries.

Access ONCORE system and check data and generate periodic reports.

Perform all other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Master's degree in Biostatistics or closely related field from an accredited college or university with a minimum of one year of experience in statistical consulting and data management.

Preferred Qualifications

In-depth knowledge of biostatistics with a focus in bioinformatics.

Experience in the analysis of NG-Sequencing data.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

KNOWLEDGE

Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures.

Familiar with EDC.

SKILLS

Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer/software databases.

Statistical programming in SAS, R and sample size software.

ABILITIES

Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Shift/Salary/Benefits

Shift: Days/M-F (work outside of normal business hours will likely be required of an employee in an exempt level position)

Pay Band: B13

Salary Minimum: $68,500/annually - $87,300/annually

Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
