Overview

Pacific Aviation is hiring Cargo Screeners at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to support our client airlines’ cargo operations. If you're detail-oriented, safety-minded, and comfortable working outdoors and around aircraft, this behind-the-scenes airport role could be a great fit.

As a Cargo Screener, you'll play a key role in secure and efficient cargo processing, ensuring that documentation, inspections, and communication all align with airline and federal requirements.

What You’ll Do

• Perform cargo screening and physical inspections in accordance with client protocols
• Monitor and communicate cargo and aircraft movement using mobile tools
• Dispatch, receive, and relay cargo-related messages
• Prepare and process documents for airline and government compliance
• Drive company vehicle to transport team members safely (valid CA driver’s license required)
• Maintain proper use of uniforms, safety gear, and equipment
• Support administrative tasks, documentation, and reporting
• Communicate clearly with supervisors and follow all policies and procedures

Requirements

What You Bring

• Fluent in English (verbal and written)
• Excellent attention to detail and organization
• Strong decision-making skills and professionalism
• Valid California driver’s license in good standing
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Flexible availability for rotating shifts (early morning, afternoon, night shifts)
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Must pass a background check and attend paid on-the-job training
• Live within a 30-minute commute to LAX to ensure timely reporting and shift

Schedule

• Available to work a minimum of 4 days/week , including weekends and holidays
• Shifts may vary based on flight schedules (early mornings, afternoons, or graveyard shifts)
• Must be available with 24–36 hours' advance notice
