CNA – Long Term Care

Location: Canistota, SD 57012

Shift: Days/Evenings/Nights (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM)

FTE: 0.9

Patient Population: Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support residents in a skilled nursing setting. The CNA will assist with daily living activities, provide comfort, and ensure a safe and positive environment for residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide resident-centered personal care including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and assistance with meals.
• Monitor vital signs and provide psychosocial support.
• Assist residents with transfers, repositioning, walking, and range-of-motion exercises using proper techniques.
• Document resident care and behaviors accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Handle linens and soiled supplies properly while following infection control and PPE protocols.
• Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited nursing assistant training program approved by the state.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
• Must be able to perform physical duties, including lifting up to 40 lbs, and support residents safely.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records preferred.
