Job Title: Director of Estimating

Location: Manchester, ME

Pay Range: $180,000 – $215,000

Duration: Permanent

We’re looking for a Director of Estimating who’s eager to guide a talented team and deliver winning bids across transmission, distribution, substation, and underground utility work. This is your chance to own the estimating process and help drive our growth!

What You’ll Do:

• Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of estimators creating accurate, detailed project estimates.
• Oversee costing for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors across multiple utility projects.
• Develop easy-to-use estimating tools, templates, and processes that keep us ahead of the competition.
• Team up with operations, business development, and leadership to craft smart, competitive bid strategies.
• Build strong partnerships with vendors and subcontractors so you always get the best pricing.
• Manage the entire estimating process—cost libraries, performance tracking, and analyzing variances.
• Find ways to do it all better through data-driven insights and KPIs.

What You Bring:

• A Bachelor’s in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar—or equivalent experience (12+ years in the industry).
• 5+ years leading estimating or project teams in the utility sector.
• Solid knowledge of transmission , distribution , and underground utility construction.
• Sharp skills in estimating software and cost modeling.
• Great leadership, communication, and analytical abilities.
