Engineering Technician

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting engineers in research, design, development, and testing activities.
• Performing hands-on assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment or prototypes.
• Conducting root cause investigations and providing detailed analysis and reporting.
• Creating and maintaining detailed documentation, including test procedures, data records, and technical reports.
• Recommending process improvements based on technical findings.
• Preparing equipment, tools, and components for engineering evaluations and ensuring calibration compliance.
• Supporting cross-functional teams (R&D, Quality, Manufacturing) in technical problem-solving.
• Ensuring adherence to safety protocols, SOPs, and compliance requirements.
• Supporting lab operations including setup and teardown of equipment and fixtures.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Engineering Technician or in a similar technical support role.
• Associate's degree or technical certification in Engineering Technology, Electronics, Mechanics, or a related field.
• Familiarity with root cause analysis methodologies (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone diagram).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
• Proficiency with standard lab/test equipment (e.g., calipers, multimeters, oscilloscopes).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
