Job Description

Sweet Water Decor is seeking a detail-oriented and highly creative Graphic Designer to join our growing team. This role blends product design, graphic design, and photo editing to help us create elevated, brand-right products and marketing materials that delight our customers.

We’re looking for a designer with a strong aesthetic eye who can make thoughtful design decisions that reflect and enhance our brand. If you’re passionate about typography, layout, and color and you thrive on delivering polished, vendor-ready files this could be the perfect role for you.

Key Responsibilities:

Product & Label Design

• Work closely with the Product Development team to conceptualize and design new home décor, gift, and candle products that align with the Sweet Water Decor brand aesthetic. This role involves ongoing collaboration and regular check-ins to ensure projects move forward smoothly and stay true to our brand vision.

• Create thoughtful dielines, labels, and packaging with proper bleeds, alignment, and vendor-ready formatting.
• Maintain brand consistency across all product lines, ensuring typography, colors, and layouts meet our premium standards.

Graphic Design & Marketing Materials

• Design wholesale catalogs, postcards, mailers, and digital assets in Adobe InDesign.
• Create graphics for our website, product listings, and marketing campaigns.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure visuals align with business goals.

Photo Editing & Digital Design

• Edit product and lifestyle photos using Photoshop and Lightroom, applying SWD presets and filters.
• Swap labels and designs onto lifestyle photos for product launches.
• Ensure vendor-ready images with accurate color, clarity, and consistency.

Collaboration & File Prep

• Work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and manufacturing teams.
• Set up, design, and maintain files for labels, box dielines, etc.
• Follow the Sweet Water Decor brand guide to ensure consistency across all design touchpoints.

What We’re Looking For:

• 2+ years of professional design experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Product Design, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Lightroom).
• A keen eye for detail, with a strong grasp of layout, typography, and color theory.
• Ability to balance multiple projects, prioritize deadlines, and work independently.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

This is a part-time, contractor role with remote flexibility (local candidates may occasionally join in-person design meetings at our Cranberry, PA office).

Candidate Assessment

Qualified candidates will be asked to complete a design test that evaluates technical skills and brand understanding. This will include working with dielines, typography, and layouts to create vendor-ready files aligned with the SWD aesthetic.
