**Job Title: PLC Programmer / Controls Engineer** **Location:** Plano, TX **Shift:** First Shift (M-F, 40 hours/week) **Workplace Type:** On-site in our cutting-edge innovation labs **Employment Type:** Hourly Contract Manpower Engineering is seeking a hands-on PLC Programmer to join our client's innovation team and help develop a cutting-edge prototype for automated restaurant equipment. This is a unique opportunity to work on a high-impact project that blends creativity, engineering, and automation. Contract role anticipated to last at least 6 mo **.** Possible consideration to extend and/or convert to perm hire down the road. **Key Responsibilities:** + Design and implement ladder logic programs from template and from scratch. + Collaborate with design engineers to specify sensors, motors, and electrical components. + Complete electrical BOM and create controls wiring diagrams. + Integrate and debug motion systems, stepper motors, gantry systems, and sensors. + Program and test motion, recovery, and fault sequences for a 3-axis stepper-based motion system. + Ensure compliance with ANSI/CE/TUV or UL standards. **Required Skills & Experience:** + 5+ years of PLC programming experience. + Strong ladder logic programming and debugging skills. + Experience with AutomationDirect PLCs preferred but not required.
