Business Intelligence Consultant – Power BI

We are currently seeking a seasoned Business Intelligence Consultant with deep expertise in Power BI, SQL (T-SQL), and DAX to join a fast-paced, client-facing team. In this role, you will work directly with executive stakeholders often, including C-Suite executives across varying client portfolio. You will translate complex data into clear insights and interactive visualizations. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a consultative mindset who can bridge technical development with business decision-making.

Role Overview

As a Business Intelligence Consultant, you’ll be responsible for designing and building data models, developing Power BI dashboards, and partnering with client teams to define business logic and deliver actionable insights. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor for clients at varying stages of their analytics journey, helping guide them toward mature, self-service BI solutions. This role requires a balance of technical acumen, business understanding, and strong communication skills to drive outcomes and influence executive stakeholders.

• Key Responsibilities Design and implement semantic data models using SQL (T-SQL) and Power BI
• Develop advanced DAX measures and deliver clean, intuitive, and impactful report visualizations
• Collaborate with Client Success Managers (CSMs) to align project goals, timelines, and strategies
• Lead client-facing meetings and workshops with a confident, consultative approach
• Provide guidance and support to clients who are early in their data transformation journey
• Tackle complex data challenges independently while exercising judgment on when to escalate
• Manage multiple client engagements, balancing quality, timeliness, and strategic priorities

• Qualifications 5-10 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or data engineering
• Deep understanding and proven expert-level proficiency in Power BI, SQL (T-SQL), and DAX
• Proven experience in dimensional data modeling, particularly using Kimball methodology
• Strong executive communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex data concepts for senior leaders
• Demonstrated consultative mindset and the ability to guide clients from discovery to solution delivery

• Preferred Skills Experience in a consulting or client-facing analytics role
• Familiarity with data governance and self-service BI enablement
• Background working in fast-paced, multi-client environments
