Job Description

As global supply and demand for water intensifies, solving the world’s most complex water challenges demands different thinking – and that’s where we come in. We’re seeking a Drinking Water Project Manager to join our team in Virginia. Someone who can use their vast experience in the water industry and apply it to today’s challenges.

As a valued Jacobs employee, you will:

  • Work with multi-disciplinary teams to achieve successful design of water treatment facilities and help lead clients to the correct treatment approach by utilizing desktop calculations
  • Bench analysis, pilot plant operation, and full-scale operational troubleshooting.
  • Work with conventional and advanced treatment processes, including coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, granular media filtration, biological filtration, membrane filtration, disinfection (ozone, UV, chlorine), adsorption, and other treatment processes.
  • Support business development efforts and help in the pursuit of new projects, as well as work directly with clients on the projects and tasks that you are leading
  • Develope long-term client relationships.

Qualifcations:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in civil, chemical, environmental, or mechanical engineering.
  • Extensive years of experience in relevant water treatment and process engineering, including water, wastewater, and reuse systems
  • Planning and design experience in water distribution system, including pipelines, pumps stations and storage tanks
  • Planning and design experience in wastewater systems, including pipelines, pump station, and treatment plants and knowledgeable about water systems.
  • Demonstrated understanding of drinking water supply, master planning, and treatment processes and technologies.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Self-motivated, initiator; demonstrated through professional society involvements or related activities
  • Professional Engineer (PE) Licensure is desirable

- Master’s Degree

- Professional Engineer (PE) Licensure is desirable

- Virginia experience is highly desirable.
