We’re hiring a School Social Worker for a maternity leave assignment serving early childhood or elementary aged students in Dupage County, IL.

Position Details:

• Role : School Social Worker
• Location : DuPage County, IL
• Schedule : Monday–Friday, 8:10AM – 3:10PM
• Grade Level : Early Childhood or Elementary

Responsibilities :

• Support a safe, inclusive, and structured school environment.
• Provide social–emotional support to students ages 3–5, including individual, small group, and large group sessions focused on skills such as emotional regulation, peer interaction, and problem-solving.
• Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and families to develop and implement strategies that promote student well-being and school readiness
• Conduct social developmental histories, screenings, and assessments as part of the special education evaluation process.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to eligibility determinations, goal development, and service planning.
• Support transitions for students entering preschool and those moving on to kindergarten.
• Provide crisis intervention and assist in developing safety and support plans when needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and case notes in accordance with district policies and legal requirements.

Qualifications :

• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) as a School Social Worker (required).
• Experience supporting early childhood and elementary school students preferred.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and case management skills.
