Job Description

Salary: $104,650 - 189,175 per year Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 6 years. We also accept an education equivalency of an Associate’s degree with 10 years of related experience or a High School Diploma with 12 years of related experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Due to the nature of the government contracts we support, US Citizenship is required.
  • TS/SCI clearance with a specific polygraph is required, or TS/SCI and willingness to obtain and maintain a specific polygraph.
  • Candidate must meet DoDM 8140.03 (previously DoD 8570) – IT System Admin Intermediate certification requirements (Cloud+, GICSP, SSCP, Security+ CE, GSEC, or higher) and hold the Splunk Power User certification or higher.
Responsibilities:
  • Gather stakeholder requirements for Splunk dashboard reporting capabilities, including the data sources required for the dashboard.
  • Utilize centralized and peripheral databases, content management, and records management systems to shape workflows and processes.
  • Manage data sources used by stakeholders.
  • Develop data correlation use cases and help design dashboards for stakeholder use.
  • Compile reports on performance and usage metrics, including future requirements for existing Splunk Reporting capabilities.
  • Coordinate access to additional data sources by working with data owners.
  • Oversee data onboarding and define configurations.
  • Perform data interpretation, classification, and enrichment.
  • Build data models.
  • Manage knowledge objects such as fields, extractions, tags, event types, lookups, workflow actions, aliases, and macros.
  • Utilize basic Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL).
  • Maintain a strong understanding of Splunk platform configuration, web UI, and Common Information Model.
  • Apply basic understanding of regular expressions.
