Fantastic opportunity to join a home infusion/specialty pharmacy in Lenexa, Kansas as a part-time Staff Pharmacist with a fixed schedule.He or she reports to the Pharmacist-in-Charge and is responsible for evaluating and monitoring drug therapy relative to the total needs/problems of the patient while collaborating with patients, physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Qualifications/Required Education/Training

• Home infusion or specialty pharmacy experience (preferred; not required)
• Pharmacist Licenses in Kansas (Required)
• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Required

Essential Duties, Functions and Responsibilities

Job Summary

The part-time Staff Pharmacist supports the Pharmacist-in-Charge in a specialty home infusion pharmacy through the appropriate evaluation of physician orders, and the safe and efficient dispensing of medications, supplies, and infusion pump equipment. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:assumes PIC responsibilities when serving as the only pharmacist on duty; taking direction from the PIC and supporting the effective management of the pharmacy; participate in Quality Assurance; support patient access to care and help to improve patient outcomes through pharmacist delivered clinical care; and assist with pharmacy inventory ordering and management.

Qualifications

• Required: Licensed pharmacist in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy in the state of Kansas; Candidate must be willing to test in other states for pharmacy licenses at Company’s expense to cover for the PIC if the Company requests.
• Required: Good interactive skills with employees located at other facilities in the organization, referral sources, physicians, and patients
• Preferred:CareTend or CPR+ software experience

Job Type: Part-time – 24 hours a week

• Monday to Wednesday - fixed

Education:

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy - Required

Experience:

• Home infusion/specialty pharmacy experience – preferred but not required

License/Certification:

• Pharmacist Licenses (Required) in Kansas
