Akkodis is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist for a 6+ months contract with a client located in Phoenix, AZ

Pay Range: $45/hr. - $63/hr. (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)

Summary:

Seeking a Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist to lead strategic procurement initiatives that deliver measurable value across cost optimization, supplier performance, and supply chain continuity. This role is integral to operational excellence and long-term sourcing strategy.

As a key member of the sourcing team, you will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, manage supplier relationships, and drive continuous improvement in procurement practices. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, strategic acumen, and a proven ability to influence change across complex organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives

• Partner with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure sourcing alignment

• Identify, assess, and onboard suppliers; lead contract negotiations and relationship management

• Implement process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency and effectiveness

• Monitor market dynamics and industry trends to identify sourcing opportunities and mitigate risks

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, or Finance

• Demonstrated success in driving cost savings and improving supplier performance

• Strong project management and communication skills

• Proficiency in negotiation and contract management

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related discipline

• Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments

• Expertise in procurement best practices and supplier development

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

• Ability to influence and collaborate across functional teams
