Milano Menswear is a family-owned menswear retailer established in 1988, operating stores across Memphis, St. Louis, Cleveland, and Columbus. We specialize in suits, dresswear, alterations, and high-quality men’s apparel. Our Cleveland location is seeking an experienced Tailor/Seamstress to join immediately.

Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled tailor who can perform precise alterations on men’s suits, jackets, pants, and shirts. The ideal candidate has strong technical ability, excellent attention to detail, and experience working in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform alterations on suits, jackets, pants, shirts, and outerwear
• Take accurate customer measurements and conduct fittings
• Execute hems, tapers, waist adjustments, sleeve adjustments, and basic repairs
• Maintain Milano’s quality and finishing standards
• Ensure timely completion of alterations, including occasional rush jobs
• Keep the tailoring area organized, clean, and safe
• Communicate effectively with store staff and customers

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in tailoring/alterations (menswear preferred)
• Proficiency with industrial sewing machines and pressing equipment
• Strong garment construction and fitting knowledge
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work independently
• Good customer service and communication skills
