About the Role

KD Nutra is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Buyer/Planner to lead procurement and planning activities critical to our production operations. This role ensures a seamless flow of high-quality raw materials, components, and services, aligning with our stringent quality standards and production timelines. The Senior Buyer/Planner will play a strategic role in maintaining optimal inventory levels, managing supplier relationships, and supporting supply chain efficiency within a highly regulated pharmaceutical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement activities to support uninterrupted production, including sourcing, purchasing, and planning of raw materials, packaging, and components.
• Collaborate closely with suppliers to negotiate pricing, lead times, and service level agreements that meet cost, quality, and delivery requirements.
• Monitor material requirements planning (MRP) outputs and adjust purchase orders as needed to meet changing production needs.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels by balancing availability with cost-efficiency, minimizing excess and obsolete materials.
• Analyze supply chain risks and take proactive measures to prevent disruptions.
• Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders (e.g., Production, Quality, R&D, Finance) and external vendors.
• Ensure full compliance with cGMP, FDA, and internal regulatory and quality requirements.
• Identify and implement process improvements, cost savings, and sourcing strategies aligned with the company’s operational goals.
• Contribute to cost reduction initiatives and supply chain optimization efforts.
• Participate in internal and external audits related to procurement and materials management.
• Support initiatives related to ERP data accuracy, supplier scorecards, and performance reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s or APICS/CPIM certification a plus).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing and planning, preferably in the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or life sciences industry.
• Strong understanding of GMP-regulated environments and supply chain best practices.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement.
