NEXXUS HOLDINGS OVERVIEW
Nexxus Holdings is a Santa Barbara and London-based investment firm, managing the internal capital of our founder as well as external capital. We operate with a highly flexible mandate and invest across industries, geographies, company stages, public vs. private, and instruments within the capital structure. We are a lean and entrepreneurial team looking for an analyst to help our firm continue to grow.
POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key aspects of the role include analyzing and identifying attractive investments, assessment of competitive dynamics within a particular industry, in-depth investigation and financial modeling of the operations of target companies, traveling for on-site meetings with the management of target companies, and preparing investment decision memorandums based on thorough research.
The position will be based in Santa Barbara, CA.
PROFILE
The ideal candidate will have and/or be:
1. An undergraduate degree, preferably with a major in economics, business, engineering, mathematics or a science (but all majors will be considered).
2. Strong financial analysis skills, including mastery of Excel and financial modeling.
3. Experience creating polished PowerPoint presentations and written documents.
4. A self-starter with an entrepreneurial bent who takes initiative and ownership over projects.
5. An independent thinker who will evaluate business models and companies without regard to consensus thinking.
6. An ability to rigorously analyze industries and companies for key drivers of success.
7. A performance-oriented individual who thrives as part of a high-performing team.
8. A person with a firm commitment to excellence and a strong set of ethical values.
COMPENSATION
Salary will be commensurate with that of similar organizations as well as ability and experience of candidate. The role will be rewarded appropriately through base salary, bonuses and growth in compensation and responsibility within NH.
