Position Overview :
My client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Second-Year Investment Banking Analyst to join their M&A advisory team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior bankers and clients on complex, high-impact transactions, particularly within the firm's core verticals. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, a passion for deal-making, and a demonstrated interest in the firm's focus industries.

Key Responsibilities :

• Support execution of M&A transactions in the technology, software, business services, and government services sectors
• Build and maintain detailed financial models and valuation analyses
• Conduct industry and company research to support deal execution and business development
• Prepare client presentations, pitch materials, and other transaction-related deliverables
• Collaborate with senior bankers and clients throughout all phases of the M&A process

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree from a top-tier institution with a strong academic record
• Minimum GPA of 3.7 on a 4.0 scale
• 1-2 years of experience as an investment banking analyst at a reputable firm
• Demonstrated interest or experience in one or more of the firm's core sectors (tech, software, business services, government services)
• Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail
