Legal Research Analyst

Med Lien Solutions specializes in lien resolution and subrogation administration for mass action cases. Our forward-thinking technology streamlines lien resolution by automating complex processes, accelerating negotiations, and optimizing cost savings. With a deep understanding of the legal and regulatory landscape, Med Lien navigates complex lien issues with precision and dedication. Our mission is simple: to deliver exceptional results, increase client settlements, and provide a seamless, fast, and uncomplicated lien resolution process.

At this time, we are hiring a Legal Research Analyst who will help make a significant impact within the organization by helping the legal research team and process. The ideal candidate has strong business acumen with the ability to conduct complex research, review legal documents, and exhibits superior communication skills.

Workplace Type: Hybrid (headquartered in Michigan with the opportunity to work from NYC office up to three days a week)

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough research and analysis on domestic and international mass action cases.
  • Monitor, research, and analyze cases and maintain an up-to-date tracking system.
  • Synthesize information and communicate findings, both written and verbally, in clear, concise, and easily understandable formats.
  • Prepare evaluations and summaries of mass action cases and settlements.
  • Provide direct support to management and other key members of the team in understanding nuances of legal cases.
  • Collect and review key legal documents.
  • Work with researchers and analysts to develop data research parameters.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school required.
  • 1 – 3 years of relevant legal work experience.
  • Proven ability to understand legal cases and convey its essence through written and verbal communications to C-Level executives.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Proficiency in CRM software; experience working within Salesforce-based platform preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of mass action cases preferred.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret information from a variety of sources and apply critical and creative thinking to draw conclusions or develop solutions to complex problems.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal/people skills, including the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of legal research databases such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
