Manufacturing Associate – Metamora, IL

Location: Metamora, IL 61548

Employment Type: Contract / Temporary

Pay Rate:$15 - $16.6/hr

About the Role

We are seeking motivated Manufacturing Associates to join a dynamic production team. In this role, you will contribute to the safe, accurate, and efficient manufacturing and fulfillment of customer orders in a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow all established safety protocols, standard operating procedures, and job safety guidelines.
• Efficiently and safely support manufacturing processes; may operate equipment or tools as trained and certified.
• Demonstrate strong initiative, a solid work ethic, and maintain positive relationships with peers and leadership.
• Communicate effectively and contribute to problem-solving within a team environment.
• Adapt to business needs by learning new skills and performing a variety of production tasks.
• Typical tasks may include:
• Loading materials onto a rotary assembly line
• Assisting with robotic loading/unloading
• Working on machine-assisted assembly stations
• Performing quality checks
• Packing card modules (under 25 lbs) into boxes
• Occasionally using a hand scraper to trim material edges
• Supporting sonic welding setups (no programming required)

Tools & Equipment You May Use

• Pallet jacks or powered floor jacks (training and certification provided before independent operation)
• Manufacturing equipment (e.g., CNC routers, rotary machines)
• Hoists with safety measures
• Computers
• Buggies, push carts, and packing equipment

Note: Temporary associates will not operate forklifts or powered industrial vehicles.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Ability to obtain Power Industrial Vehicle certification (if needed) within first 90 days
• Basic computer skills
• Strong attendance, reliability, and teamwork skills

Physical Requirements

• Walk: Constantly
• Bend/Stand: Frequently
• Squat/Reach Over Shoulder: Occasionally
• Push/Pull: Occasionally (up to 100+ lbs, assisted)
• Manual dexterity: Ability to use fine finger movements and handle small parts
• Postures: May work in typical manufacturing positions such as bending, kneeling, or other normal production movements

Safety Information

• All machinery used is equipped with safety safeguards.
• Hoists and other lifting equipment include proper safety features.
• Tasks related to awkward or cramped positions are limited to normal manufacturing motions; no unusually strenuous postures are required.
