Job Description

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and general maintenance of building infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems. This role requires a solid foundation in mechanical and technical trades, as well as a proactive approach to team collaboration, problem-solving, and facility operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and repairs on:

1. HVAC systems
2. Electrical infrastructure
3. Plumbing systems
4. Other critical building components

• Conduct regular facility inspections and complete documentation.
• Respond to service requests and troubleshoot issues across systems.
• Coordinate with external service providers and maintain contact with local authorities as needed.
• Monitor facility-related activities and ensure timely scheduling of maintenance tasks.
• Assist with protocol adherence, incident reporting, and administrative duties related to facility upkeep.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Reliable with a strong track record of consistent attendance.
• Foundational knowledge in trades such as mechanical, electrical, or plumbing.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and hands-on technical ability.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• 1–8 years of experience in facility maintenance or related technical field.
• Forklift certification.
• Experience in MEP trades (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing).
• Background as a Building Engineer (license not required).
• Vocational training and additional specialized qualifications preferred.
• Ability to apply theoretical knowledge in practical settings using standard procedures.
• Capable of troubleshooting, prioritizing tasks, and planning ahead for ongoing operations.
