Havarti Risk is looking for a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join the team. This position is a mid-level analyst position that requires candidates to have between 2 to 4 years of experience in a Health Actuarial role and are a recent Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) or close to qualifying as an Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA). This role will support Consulting business unit of Havarti. The role will involve actuarial and data analysis, project management, and internal and external stakeholder communication. What you will do  

Havarti Risk is a rapidly growing company, and the Senior Actuarial Analyst will have the opportunity to work on a variety of assignments across the Consulting practice. 

  • Reviewing, cleansing, and analyzing client data to extract required information 
  • Building financial / Return on Investment (ROI) models 
  • Conducting technical and consulting reviews of financial / ROI models built by others in the team 
  • Developing presentations and reports 
  • Supporting project management to ensure quality client outcomes are delivered timely and within budget 

Requirements  

Education and work experience  

  1. Recent Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) or close to qualifying as an Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA)
  2. 2-4 years in a Health Actuarial role 

Skills and qualifications  

  1. Knowledge of the healthcare industry 
  2. Knowledge of actuarial principles and processes 
  3. Proficiency in the use of excel and statistical programming languages (e.g., Python, R) 
  4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 
  5. Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  6. Willing to travel occasionally as necessary
  7. Flexibility and adaptability to excel in a fast-changing environment 
  8. Based in the Indianapolis, Indiana headquarters
