Ishaaq Jasat

Ishaaq Jasat is an educator, imam, author and international speaker. This is a personal brand rather than an organisation, and the site carries all of it: the services he offers, the projects he supports, his published books, a personal blog he writes himself, and a Quran quiz that gives visitors something worth doing and builds his mailing list while they do it. The books are shown but not sold here — they are stocked through other shops, so the site sends people to them.

Education / Personal brand 5 things we built Visit the site
The Ishaaq Jasat website

Where they began

A logo already worth building on, and a public life spanning several roles — teaching, leading, writing and speaking — that all had to sit on one site without any of them looking like an afterthought.

What was hard

A personal brand covering four roles is harder than a business selling one thing. An educator, an imam, an author and a speaker each attract a different visitor arriving with a different question, and a site that tries to lead with all four ends up leading with none.

There was also a good logo already in place. That is a constraint worth having rather than working against — the job was to build outward from it, not around it.

What we built

The palette came out of the logo rather than being chosen alongside it. Its gold was pulled forward and set against a deep blue: a pairing with a very long history behind it, and one that carries authority without appearing to try. For someone whose standing is the product, reading as considered matters far more than reading as novel.

The mark itself is then worked quietly through the site — set into cards, and used at low contrast within section backgrounds. It is the sort of detail nobody consciously notices and everybody feels, and it is most of what separates a personal-brand site that looks designed from one that looks assembled.

Each role got its own structure rather than a shared page. Services are their own content type, the projects he supports have their own showcase, and the blog is his to write in without needing anyone's help.

The Quran quiz is the call to action and it earns its place by being genuinely worth doing. The visitor gets something engaging; he gets a mailing list that grows with people who have already spent time with him rather than names harvested from a newsletter box.

The Quran quiz

The Quran quiz

The site's call to action, and it works because it is worth doing on its own terms. Visitors take part because they want to; the mailing list grows as a consequence rather than as the price of entry.

The mark, worked through the site

The mark, worked through the site

His logo is set into cards and used at low contrast inside section backgrounds — present everywhere, announced nowhere. It is the detail that makes the site feel authored rather than assembled.

Gold and blue, taken from the logo

Gold and blue, taken from the logo

The palette was drawn out of the mark he already had rather than chosen to sit beside it. Gold against deep blue is a pairing with centuries behind it, and it carries authority without effort.

Four roles, four structures

Four roles, four structures

Services, supported projects and the blog each have their own content type instead of sharing a page. Educator, imam, author and speaker can coexist without any one of them crowding the others out.

Books shown, sold elsewhere

Books shown, sold elsewhere

His published books are presented properly on the site, with links out to the shops that actually stock them. No pretend storefront, no checkout he would then have to run.

What changed

Four roles, one coherent site

A personal brand that holds teaching, leadership, writing and speaking together without fragmenting into four separate propositions.

A mailing list that grows itself

The quiz brings people in and keeps them, so the list builds from genuine engagement rather than from a form nobody wanted to fill in.

A brand built out of what he already had

The existing logo became the source of the palette and a recurring device throughout the design — continuity rather than reinvention.

Honest about the books

Showcased on the site, bought from the shops that stock them. Clear for the reader and nothing extra for him to administer.
